🌟 Local History Day – Operation Spitfire ✈️
Our Year 2 and Year 6 children had an unforgettable experience as they took part in a special Operation Spitfire assembly as part of our Local History Day. The assembly brought history to life, helping children understand the importance of the iconic Spitfire and the role it played in shaping our local and national heritage.
Year 6 are continuing their learning journey by taking part in an exciting STEM Operation Spitfire workshop, where they will explore the science and engineering behind this remarkable aircraft. To deepen their understanding even further, they will also be visiting Hanley Museum, providing a fantastic opportunity to connect classroom learning with real historical artefacts and exhibits.
It’s been a brilliant day of discovery, curiosity, and inspiration—well done to all our children for their enthusiasm and engagement! 👏✨
