English Speaker of Other Languages - ESOL
Our school runs an ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) programme to support parents and adults who speak languages other than English.
The ESOL programme helps learners to develop their skills in:
• Reading
• Writing
• Speaking
• Listening
These four areas support adults to use English confidently in everyday life, at school and in the community.
When does ESOL take place?
Every Wednesday from 9:15am to 11:15am in school.
What will you learn?
Participants will:
• Improve their understanding of spoken English
• Practise speaking clearly and confidently
• Build reading skills through everyday texts
• Develop writing skills, including spelling, sentences and basic grammar
Lessons are practical, supportive and designed to build confidence in a friendly environment.
Who is the programme for?
The ESOL programme is for parents and adults who speak another language at home and would like extra support to improve their English.
