  • Curriculum Overview

At Hanley St Luke’s, our curriculum is thoughtfully designed to ensure clear progression in knowledge, skills, and understanding across all year groups. Each subject builds on prior learning, enabling pupils to deepen their understanding step by step. Key concepts are revisited regularly to strengthen and secure mastery over time.

This structured and inclusive approach supports all learners in developing confidence, broadening their abilities, and reaching their full potential as they move through school.

    Our Curriculum Drivers

At Hanley St Luke’s, our curriculum is shaped by six clear drivers: I Achieve, I Discover, I Explore, I Decide, I Plan and I Focus. These drivers ensure our pupils develop strong academic knowledge alongside the skills, values and attitudes they need to succeed in life. Through high expectations in English and STEM, opportunities for leadership, careers education, outdoor learning, and a strong focus on attendance and behaviour, children are supported to make positive choices, discover their strengths, and plan for the future. Rooted in our Christian vision, our curriculum enables all children to flourish, achieve their potential and live life to the full.
