  • Our Curriculum

At Hanley St Luke’s C of E Academy, our curriculum is designed to provide a broad, balanced, and engaging education that follows the National Curriculum while being firmly rooted in our Christian beliefs and values. It is built around our core expectations for every child: be ready, be responsible, and be safe. These principles guide how children learn, behave, and grow both academically and personally.

    Our School Vision

“I have come that they may have life and have it to the full.”
    (John 10:10)

    Our Mission

At Hanley St Luke’s, we are rooted in love and guided by faith. We nurture every child to live life to the full. By showing honesty, courtesy, kindness, perseverance, and respect, we create a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where every child can grow academically, spiritually, and emotionally.

    Enriching Our Curriculum

We believe that learning should go far beyond the classroom. Our curriculum is enriched with a wide range of opportunities and experiences to ensure every child can flourish:

    • Trips and curriculum-linked experiences that bring learning to life

    • STEM Lab, AI learning, and university partnerships to inspire curiosity and creativity

    • Debate, podcast, and performance opportunities to develop confidence and communication skills

    • Forest School, swimming, and sports activities to promote wellbeing and teamwork

    • SEMH support, leadership roles, and pupil voice initiatives to nurture personal development

Through this combination of high-quality teaching, practical experiences, and a strong Christian ethos, we ensure that children at Hanley St Luke’s not only meet national standards but also develop spiritually, morally, socially, and culturally. Our aim is to equip every child with the knowledge, skills, and values to thrive in school and life, helping them truly live life to the fullness.
