🎙️ Talk on the Hill – Special Edition: The Great Science Share

Our school podcast, Talk on the Hill, continues to go from strength to strength – and our latest edition is a shining example of how our children are using their voices to share exciting learning beyond the classroom.

In June, our talented team of podcasters, along with a group of enthusiastic young scientists from school, took part in The Great Science Share at Port Vale. This national initiative encourages children to showcase their science learning, ask questions, and explore the world of science through hands-on activities – and our children did just that!

During the event, our children:

• Showcased their own science projects and learning

• Took part in a wide range of fun and fascinating science experiments

• Shared their curiosity and knowledge with other schools and visitors

Meanwhile, our podcast team was hard at work behind the microphones, capturing the excitement of the day. They interviewed a host of inspiring guests, including:

• Tina Whittaker, Science Education Advocate

• The Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress, who spoke about the importance of curiosity, learning, and civic pride

• Science teachers from across the city

• Local scientists, who shared how science plays a part in their everyday work

This special episode of Talk on the Hill is packed with real conversations, laughter, learning, and inspiration. It highlights just how passionate our children are about science and how confident they are in sharing their ideas with others.

We’re incredibly proud of everyone who took part – especially our podcasters, who captured the spirit of the day so brilliantly.
