Keeping Children Safe – Clever Never Goes & NSPCC Support
At Hanley St Luke’s Academy, we’re committed to helping children learn how to stay safe in the world around them in a positive and supportive way. As part of this, we teach the Clever Never Goes safety message — a modern, child‑friendly approach that helps children understand they should never go anywhere with anyone unless it has been agreed with a trusted adult first. This focuses on recognising unsafe situations rather than just avoiding strangers, giving children confidence and practical safety skills they can carry with them as they grow. You can find out more and access free resources for parents and schools at https://clevernevergoes.org/.
We also recommend parents explore support and guidance from the NSPCC, a leading UK children’s charity. Their website www.nspcc.org.uk has helpful information on talking to your child about safety — both in the real world and online — and offers advice on a range of other wellbeing topics.
